As a Meet progresses throughout the day, Entry information can change.  For example a swimmer may not initially know their Heat and Lane of an entry into an Event.

The Final information usually updated in an Entry is the “Official Time”.

To many people an Entry with a final “Official Time” is just called a swimmer’s “Time”.

To Better understand how to use iSwimTimes.  It’s helpful to know how iSwimTimes is organized.  iSwimTimes is basically set up to mirror how Meets are organized in the real world- utilizing Events and Entries.  iSwimTimes is organized into 5 main areas :
Swimmers, Entries, Meets, & Standards

In the swimming world, a Time Standard is a set of times for particular Events that help a swimmer know how they are doing.  These “times” are usually called “Cut Time”.  USA Swimming has a number of different Cut times - B, BB, A, AAA, AAA, etc.

Tim Standards can be used as goals for swimmer  to help increase Motivation.

iSwimTimes has the ability to have many Time Standards available in the app.

A swimmer is then assigned a Time Standard of which to compare their Official Entry Times, or Times, to.
